XVIII SPORTS FESTIVAL OF WORKERS, CIVIL SERVANTS AND LABORERS IN INDUSTRIAL PARKS – 2024

The 17th Sports Festival for Workers, Civil Servants, and Laborers in Industrial Parks in Ba Ria Vung Tau – 2024 took place on the morning of August 11, 2024, with approximately 700 athletes representing 35 trade unions in the province.

The Saigon Paper athletes participated in six activities, including men’s and women’s running, sack jumping, group rope jumping, tug of war, and Chinese chess.

Entering the tournament with a spirit of solidarity and fraternity, making all effort in the spirit of good sportsmanship to contribute to delivering the beautiful image of Saigon Paper Joint Stock Company to the sports festival.

Starting the competitions, our delegation was always greeted with enthusiastic cheers from the fans of other teams because of the cheerful and enthusiastic spirit of competition, as well as the impressive achievements and the bright yellow uniform shirt, which did not blend in with the shirt colors of the other teams.

Following the dramatic moments of competition, the efforts of the athletes, and the camaraderie of the entire team, the Saigon Paper athletes team has excellently overcome numerous opponents to acchieve  very good results as displayed by each content:

1. Men’s running: 1 consolation prize
2. Women’s running: 1 third prize (Ms.Van Anh) & 3 consolation prizes.
3. Sack jumping: 1 third prize.
4. Group rope jumping: first prize _ accomplishment 98 times/one minute
5. Tug of war: first prize _ among 9 rounds of pulling, lost 1, won 8
6. Chinese chess: 1 individual consolation prize – 1 team third prize

With achievements in all 6 competitions, the Saigon Paper sports team has excellently gain the “First prize overall”.

This is the third time that Saigon Paper Sports Team has achieved the “First prize overall”, it was in the years: 2017, 2023, 2024.

The remarkable accomplishments of Saigon Paper athletes demonstrate the strength of collective spirit and the sports tradition of the company’s employees. By implementing a variety of sports activities right in the working environment, Saigon Paper’s Grassroots trade union wishes to contribute to building a team of human resources with enough intelligence and strength so that workers can increasingly improve themselves, contributing to the development of the company and the community.

The Grasstoots Trade Union of Saigon Paper Joint Stock Company would like to thank the Labor Federation of Ba Ria Vung Tau Province, the Trade Union of Industrial Parks for creating a useful playground, and the Board of Directors of Saigon Paper Joint Stock Company for creating conditions for employees of Saigon Paper Joint Stock Company to exchange and learn with other units, improve the spirit of physical exercise and sports, and strengthen connection between members, bring moments of refreshing and healthy relaxation.
