SAIGON PAPER – BLOOD DONATION DAY 2024 – A DAY OF CHARITY HEARTS

On April 17, 2024, the Grassroots Trade Union of Saigon Paper Joint Stock Company in coordination with the Red Cross Society of Phu My Town & Cho Ray Hospital Blood Transfusion Center successfully organized the 9th edition “Blood Donation Day”.

This is an annual activity of the company, with a profound humanistic meaning, demonstrating the tradition of solidarity as well as the compassion and social responsibility of Saigon Paper employees.

With the message “A drop of blood given, a life left behind”, the “blood donation day” is always an event that many employees are interested in and participate in.

The event drew 230 registered blood donors, 155 of them were from Saigon Paper Joint Stock Company. Furthermore, employees from companies in the Phu My area, including Lixil Vietnam Co., Ltd., Riverbank Vietnam Co., Ltd., Irex Energy Joint Stock Company, Anchor Fasteners Vietnam Co., Ltd., and relatives of Saigon Paper Company employees, participated in the blood donation day.

The festival took place in an extremely exciting and vibrant atmosphere with the result that 180 units of blood were donated, including 120 units of blood donated by Saigon Paper employees.

The Company’s Board of Directors’ keen interest in providing facilities and setting conditions for employees to donate blood during working hours is a vital contributor to the success of the 2024 Blood Donation Day.

Besides, there is the contribution of a volunteer team from the Trade Union, with enthusiasm in campaigning, organizing and spreading the message of humanity to everyone.

The Blood Donation Day is not only an activity that showcases Saigon Paper’s traditional beauty, but it also allows employees to engage and project a beautiful, kind, and welcoming image to other organizations in the area.

We hope that the donated blood will save lives and provide hope for those in critical condition.
