Prices have dropped for recovered fiber in China and Southeast Asia. Sources attributed the decline to several factors, including the slow summer season and meagre purchasing due to inflation-related problems.

US old corrugated containers (OCC) have dipped $10/tonne, while new double-lined kraft clippings have slid $5/tonne. Old newspapers (ONP) have dropped $5-10/tonne and mixed paper has slipped $10/tonne.

Prices for US pulp substitutes have decreased $5/tonne. European OCC has fallen by $10-15/tonne, with ONP and mixed paper both down $10/tonne. Japanese OCC has declined $5/tonne, while ONP and mixed paper have dropped $10/tonne. (Source RISI)
