October 2011:

- Appointment of Factory Director

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tuan is officially appointed as My Xuan Factory Director. Mr. Tuan has more than 25 years of experience in the field of paper manufacturing. Before joining Saigon Paper Corporation (“SGP”), Mr. Tuan held management positions in various paper companies (CEO of Tan Mai Paper Company, Chairman and CEO of Van Diem Paper Company, Chairman and CEO of Viet Paper Trading Company).

- National Caravan Journey

SGP held business customer conferences in all 3 major areas, Western region (in Can Tho), Northern region (in Ha Noi), Central region (in Da Nang, Phan Thiet) and in Ho Chi Minh City.

SGP has developed a nationwide distribution network with more than 50,000 selling points in 64 cities and provinces.

- “2011 Outstanding Saigon Company Award”

SGP received award as Top 96 Outstanding Companies in Ho Chi Minh City with excellent contributions for local economy.

November 2011:

- Seminar: “Green Choice for better life”

SGP and coordinator of Global campaign on climate change 350.org co-held seminar “GREEN choice for better life”

Technology determines whether products are safe or harmful, polluted or healthy. Companies which use “black” technologies (damaged consumers’ health, caused air pollution) are facing hard criticisms from society.

The investment in GREEN technology by SGP (applying 5Gs standards in Green production model for paper products) ensures sustainable competitive advantages and tremendous benefits in all 3 perspectives: society (environment protection), consumers (health safety protection), and investors (cost saving, sustainable growth).

- Sponsor for program “Use of eco-friendly bags for the month”

The program was held by Department of Resources and Environment, Department of Science and Technology. SGP sponsored 3 industrial paper rolls (to fold 8,000 paper bags) to distribute freely for customers at 10 supermarkets and commercial centers in Ho Chi Minh City.

PART 2: BUSINESS RESULTS

“DOUBLE” growth strategy

Economic crisis comes along with recession, stagnation, withdrawal, waiting. Nevertheless, in the most severe business hardships (prolonged crisis for 4 consecutive years, 2008-2011), SGP has persistently pursued the “DOUBLE” growth strategy:

- Maximize production capacity of the existing factory (My Xuan 1 factory). Revenues have constantly grew every year. Within 6 years (2005-2011), SGP has grown 7 times bigger. Revenues were increased from 114 billion VND (5.4 million USD) in 2005 to 905 billion VND (43.1 million USD) in 2011 (estimated revenues).

- Build new factory (My Xuan 2 factory) with total investment of 100 million USD. My Xuan 2 factory has production capacity 3 times bigger than My Xuan 1 factory (annual capacity of 35,000 ton of Tissue; 52,500 ton of coated papers; 140,000 tons of carton), new production lines, leading European technologies. Workforce will be increased from 1,400 to 2,000 when My Xuan 2 officially operate in 2012.

- Mobilize capital and technology from Daio paper company (No. 21 paper company worldwide and No. 2 paper company in Japan with 2010 revenues of approximately 5 billion USD) and capital from Bridgehead Co. Ltd. (subsidiary of Development Bank of Japan, one of the longest established and largest state owned banks in Japan with 2010 assets of approximately 190 billion USD). Daio and Bridgehead have officially become shareholders of SGP since April, 2011.

2011 Business Results

- In 2011, it is estimated that revenues will reach 905 billion VND (43.1 million USD) (25% increase as compared to 2010), volume reach 58,000 ton. The year 2011 witnessed a spectacular growth in the 4th Quarter with revenues for the last 4 month equal to 70% of revenues for the first 8 months of the year.

- Tissue and IP are 2 core products. Of which, Tissue accounted for 55%, IP accounted for 45% of total revenues.

3 year Business Plan (2012-2014)

2012 is a remarkable year in the company’s development history with 2 milestones:

1. Celebrate 15th anniversary of business establishment (1997-2012)

2. Officially operate new factory My Xuan 2.

With huge market potential (Vietnam has the youngest population structure in history with 1/3 of the population is in the age of 10-24; low paper consumption, only ½ of the world paper consumption average, local production only met 50% local demand), and with production capacity and technology of My Xuan 2 factory, SGP expected to achieve impressive growth in both revenues and product quality in the future. In 2012, estimated revenues are of more than 2,000 billion VND (97 million USD) (125% increase as compared to 2011), estimated volume is of 123,200 tons.
